cross country trek

just two weeks ago my journey began!

thanks to all my friends and family who came to my send-off party in KC, by the way! unfortunately i didn't take any photos at the event (i was feeling pretty overwhelmed) but i was so appreciative of the excellent turn out. i love you all!!

after getting rid of 1/2 of my belongings and last minute packing of the rest, we were off for a 2 day trek through missouri, illinois, indiana, ohio, west virginia, pennsylvania, back to west virginia, maryland, and finally, the district! somewhere is the middle of ohio, i was rear ended and my trusty taurus was totaled. however, being so trusty, the taurus kept on keeping on all the way to dc (thank goodness)!

there was some drama upon arrival, as the apartment was not quite ready for me to move in. however, that was quickly corrected and moving in commenced. after the table and couch did not fit through the door and other misc. issues, i was finally moved in! it only took 3 trips to ikea and 2 trips to target to finish out the process.

so there you have it. my comfy little apartment in a nutshell! it is a lovely place to come home to after school to hang out with e and study (which is what i should be doing right now). so on that note, i'll sign out! next time i'll tell you about school and what i've been up to the last couple of weeks.
